A prime example is Charles J. Lavelle, Insurance Team Chair, who successfully briefed two leading federal captive insurance tax cases in the U.S. Appellate Courts, and also lectures and writes nationally on the subject. John R. Cummins, Henry C.T. Richmond III and John S. Lueken have all been elected to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, the leading association of estate planners throughout the country. Mark H. Oppenheimer has become the first Kentucky attorney awarded Family Firm Institute's Certificate in Family Business Advising, and both Michael Hawthorne and John R. Cummins are members of the Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises.
